welcome to my first lifestyle blog post!
Last weekend, it was my friend's birthday and a group of us went to a place in Leamington Spa, where we decorated cupcakes! I love baking and decorating cakes but i am not very creative in that way and they never turn out how i want them too!
I just thought i would share some photographs with you and how i found the experience as it's not something i have done before.
Firstly we were taught how to create different things using fondant icing and then how to ice the cakes using an icing bag and then how to use the fondant icing to ice the cakes too!
We all chose a different food colouring so that we would have different colours to chose from when we piped them on the cakes. I chose pink.
These are the cakes before we decorated them! We all got six cupcakes each to decorate how we wanted.
Just a little snapshot of the table! We also got some really cute tiny cakes to eat while we were making them as well as refreshments.
Once they were done we got to put them in a little box so we could take them home and so they wouldn't get squashed!
Here are some close ups of the cupcakes (minus the dark pink one because i ate that before it had a chance to get photographed!! - oops!)
I learnt so much from the two hours that we were there and i can not wait to start baking and decorating some more!!
