A weekend in London

For my birthday last month, my very lovely boyfriend brought me tickets to go and see Matilda at the theatre in London. We stayed in London Friday and Saturday evening, and did loads of fun and exciting things, so i thought i would just share with you some of the photographs that i have taken.  I will be uploading a few more posts over the coming weeks about things in more detail and doing a slight review of some things!

My Perfume Collection

At this moment in time, i am very happy with my perfume collection so i wanted to share some treasures i own. I love having high market perfumes, as i generally use these on weekends, special occasions and whenever i am off out somewhere in the evening. However, i don't like to waste my nice expensive perfume for when i go to work! So there is a mix of both worlds!!

I love this fragrance, i think its great for all times of the year! It is also one i often reach for.

This is definitely my special occasion perfume. It has a very girly scent to it and i absolutely adore it!

I fell in love with this fragrance when i smelt it in the airport on the way to Disneyland Paris! I briefly mentioned it to my boyfriend and he very kindly brought it me for Christmas. So i haven't owned it very long, but boy, the bottle is pretty!

I have done a full review on the perfume. It smells amazing, and for the price it is amazing! You can buy this beauty for only £8! It is the perfect dupe for Lancome's La Vie Est Belle.

A few more budget perfumes, in my opinion, Zara has the best budget perfumes!

This is a very sweet, girly, summer fragrance. I don't generally lean towards majorly sweet scents but there is something about this one.

Zara - Rose Gold (not available online)
I smelt this one for the first time in New York City, so it will forever bring me back to that trip. This is more of a sophisticated scent. I have also read that it is a dupe for a Michael Kors perfume.

This is was my first budget perfume, and i have replaced it three times and i have a back up in my cupboard for when this one runs out! This is the perfect dupe of Viktor & Rolf 'Flowerbomb'.

Feeling thankful

I have got rather inspired to write this blog post over the last couple of days (i should actually be doing some university work as i type, but this seems to be taking over my mind more!! Bad, i know!). As of late, i am feeling very thankful for all the people that are in my life, don't get me wrong, i have always been thankful for them but lately i have been thankful even more. I am in my third year of degree and starting at a new university and i am definitely feeling the pressure, the work load and my lack of social life. My family, friends and boyfriend have been so unbelievably supportive over my lack of communication, lack of meeting up and my lack of anything really. It makes me realise how lucky i am to have all those people in my life, and how much they understand the stress and work load i am under.

I know its not forever (even though sometimes it feels like it is, or feels like it has been to get to this point) and in a few months this will all be over and i can get back to enjoying my life how it used to be, stress free. I can bearly remember that!

I would just like this thank everyone who has been there to comfort me when i have broken down in tears (this year especially has seen a heck of a lot of tears!), understood when i have been unable to meet up due to deadlines and generally been super supportive.

I would have probably quit within the first couple of months of my third year if it wasn't for the people closest to me, believing in me and telling me, countless amount of times, that i can do it!

This is just something that i have been thinking a lot about recently..
A penny for your thoughts?

First impressions: No7 Cleansing Brush

First impressions:
No7 Cleansing Brush

I received the No7 Cleansing Brush for Christmas, it came in a beautiful rose gold gift box (which my mum threw away - sob) with two other products, No7 melting gel cleanser and No7 night cream. I have always wanted to try and cleansing brush, and i had my eye on the clarisonic before i found out there was more budget ones out there. I haven't used it long enough to do a full review on it, but i thought i would give you my first impressions.

My skin:
I would class my skin as normal, but it can sometimes go dry depending upon the weather and can be sensitive to some products. I have read that this product is not advisable for people with really sensitive skin, as i wouldn't class mine as really sensitive, i was eager to give it a go.

First impressions:

I decided to use the melting skin cleanser by No7 seeing as it was provided. I wasn't expecting too much from this but, oh my, it smells amazing. Really, truly amazing.

I probably squeezed a bit too much out of the tube - oops! I then rubbed it all over my face (being careful not to get it in my eyes), it went on really well and felt nice on my skin.

I then wet the brush under some warm water and turned on the one switch...

I used small circular motions for 30 seconds, and it advises to focus on your forehead, cheeks and chin.

After it had been 30 seconds (or there abouts), i turned off the cleansing brush and washed off the cleanser with warm water. My skin felt ever so soft but my skin did look a little bit red after, this didn't last long though and went down within 15 minutes.

The cleansing brush wasn't harsh on my skin and it didn't feel uncomfortable to use, the brush is the perfect size to fit into your hands.

I would recommend:
  1. Tying your hair up with a hair bobble and even putting a hair band in your hair to stop little bits of hair getting in the way. As mine did and it kept getting stuck to my skin and tangled in the cleansing brush!
  2. Not to use this product if you have super sensitive skin. As i state above, i can have sensitive skin but i think its more highly perfumed products my face doesn't like!
  3. Looking out for it on offer! I have seen it go down to £15 before, also the Christmas gift set only cost £25 when the brush alone costs £24.95

I am extremely happy with this cleansing brush and i can not believe i was even contemplating purchasing the Clarisonic, which is more than four times the price! Let me know if you would like me to do a more in-depth review when i have had a proper play around with it for a few months.

Dr Bronner's Magic Soap with Zoeva Brushes

I am one of these girls, and i am sure i won't be alone in this, that hate washing their makeup brushes. I love when they are clean and look super pretty, but i just find the whole process so tedious. I have heard a lot of Dr Bronner's Magic Soap, and thought about purchasing it off the internet, but there was something that was stopping me. Probably my massive dislike for cleaning my brushes. I was wondering around TKMaxx a couple of weeks before Christmas and stubbled across it! It wasn't massively discounted, i paid £6 compared to £8.49, but a discount is a discount in my opinion. I picked up the scent 'Peppermint', after sniffing all the ones that were there, this was the one i most liked.

(Apologies for lighting in the pictures, it was be very dark and dull the last few days where i live!)

I have been using it for a while now and can not express my love for it enough! It takes all the hard work out of cleaning my brushes and they look amazing afterwards. All i have to do is rub a little bit of this into each brush, rinse it off under the tap and put it to dry - amazing!

I got some Zoeva Brushes for my birthday which i have been loving and using every single day since i got them! So i thought they were due there weekly deep clean..

Before:

During:
(The brushes that are majorly dirty, i put in a  glass full of warm water and a bit of the soap and then come back to them last)

After:

I also think i forgot to mention..

This smells so amazing!!!!
